General information only

The content of this site is patient education. It describes what produces a crooked nose, what can and cannot change it, and what treatment costs in recovery and risk. It is not a diagnosis, it is not a treatment recommendation for any individual, and it does not create a doctor-patient relationship.

No substitute for examination

Whether treatment is appropriate for you depends on findings that can only be established by examining you: what is deviated, how air moves through each side of the nose, whether the blockage is structural or inflammatory, whether there was an injury, and how the nose relates to the rest of your face. Reading this site cannot substitute for that, and a decision made from a website alone is a decision made without information.

Results vary and are not guaranteed

Individual results differ. A septum can drift again after correction, breathing can change after any operation on the nose, and healing takes months. No surgeon, and no website, can guarantee an outcome, and any statement that appears to promise one should be treated with suspicion wherever you encounter it.

If something is wrong after treatment

If you have had treatment and develop difficulty breathing, rapidly increasing swelling, a tense painful area, spreading redness, fever, bleeding that does not stop, a change in vision, or severe eye pain, contact the treating team or seek emergency care immediately rather than waiting to be seen at a routine appointment.
